Our Process

4th Street Training uses a flexible step-by-step process that works across industries, topics, learner types, and training approaches (instructor-led, self-study, e-learning…). In other words, our methodology produces the desired results for any organization with any training need.

The ADDIE Model of our process

Analyze

The process begins with our ID-specialist project managers. They start by asking questions of the target audience and key stakeholders to determine development needs and constraints (What is the performance issue? What factors are causing the issue? Is there a skill/knowledge gap that training can address?). They also collect data from subject matter experts on relevant work process, environment, and cultural considerations. The information that is appropriate to training is used to determine learning objectives.

Design

We determine how best to achieve the learning objectives, including content, sequencing, media, and methods. These specifications are reported in a design document that provides a blueprint for instruction.

Develop

Materials are developed in close collaboration with the project team, including regular progress meetings, draft submissions, feedback discussions, and revisions. One or more pilot sessions with actual learners are often used to test effectiveness.

Implement

Project launch is prepared, which may include a rollout timetable, communication plan, selecting and training instructors, material printing and distribution, room and equipment logistics, travel arrangements, and so on.

Evaluate

Formative evaluations occur throughout the preceding steps, and summative evaluations validate the training impact and effectiveness after launch (e.g., learner feedback, tracking measurable business results, and ROI).
