Example Projects
Supervisor Development
New managers hired or promoted into a supervisory position need to make a tough transition to leading others within the particular management environment and culture of their organization. The skills and habits they build early on will determine how they manage and lead throughout their career. It’s a critical time for investment in every manager’s development.
Retail Company
OfficeMax, Inc.
Client Need: The company wanted to develop a leadership curriculum for all managers across the U.S. The project’s purpose was to replace an existing curriculum that was outdated and, therefore, falling short of expectations.
Solution: We developed six instructor-led courses to be taught by in-house trainers as standalone workshops or in a single four-day event. The courses included Managing at OfficeMax (half-day), Communication Basics (half-day), Interviewing & Selection (full-day), Managing Performance (full-day), Developmental Coaching (half-day), and Time Management (half-day).
Healthcare / Pharmaceutical
TAP Pharmaceutical Products Inc.
Client Need: The company wanted to prepare newly promoted and hired managers for their job by building awareness of expectations for high-performing managers. An existing course was being replaced because a more interactive experience was desired to more fully engage and excite participants.
Solution: We developed a one-day course in which participants receive a high-level overview of the Human Resources organization, how to access HR services, and how HR partners with managers to create a high-performance company. In addition to a primary facilitator, HR experts serve as “guest” trainers to present up-to-date information about the functions of their group.
